When Japanese architect Endo Shuhei adds another delectable design to his repertoire, you can expect a project title just as incredible as the structure itself. He names each of his projects by letter and then style, with appellations ranging from “rooftecture”, to “slowtecture”, to “refurbitecture” and beyond. His recently completed ‘Bubbletecture H’ building in Hyogo is the 8th (Hth) project he has created that is bursting with bubbly bulges and arches. When the first day of Fall arrives I always gleefully bust out a dark crimson nail color and do my tootsies up in style. This past year, people walking through the pedestrian tunnel in Sandnes Sentrum, Norway, were faced with the unique opportunity to watch their shadows transform into a beautiful luminous art show . Constructed as part of the city’s European Capitol of Culture 2008 event, the Strømer , is an interactive LED display wall that weaves a wonderful mixture of art, energy-efficiency and play into the fabric of daily existence.
